L’Orma is an educational agency that develops and offers sportive / expressive training experience based on non-formal education aimed at stimulating personal and professional growth of children, teenagers and adults. Its local activities include school laboratories, summer camps, trainings and it also participates in various EU projects such as collaborative partnerships, training courses, adult education, Erasmus Young Entrepreneur Program, EVS/ESC, pilot-project sport and strategic partnerships.

Bulgaria

Bulgarian Sports Development Association was founded in 2010 and is a nonprofit public benefit organization devoted to the development of Bulgarian sport and improving sporting culture in Bulgaria!

Main priorities of BSDA:

  • Reviving sport culture;
  • Volunteering in sport;
  • Education through and in sport;
  • Good governance in sport;
  • Integration through sport;
  • Skills of the future and entrepreneurship.

As sport is about ambition, emotion and inspiration initiated by the people for the people, the sector should be based on the personal convictions of decision-makers for integrity, dedication and fairness as well as on the principles of “fair play”, team-work, discipline, equal start and non-discrimination. We believe that sport should be part of a modern life of children and young people and should transmit in them all those values and support their use in all aspects of life. Sport is also be a excellent way to prevent many of the problems with young people such as social exclusion, violence, crime and addictions.

Our team is motivated, creative and full of innovative spirit that works for development of Bulgarian sport and enhance the sport culture in Bulgaria with a desire and motivation. BSDA membership is voluntary and the association involve both physical and legal persons who are willing to help sport development with time, ideas, effort or financial support. We also organize different events in the areas of: entrepreneurship, citizenship and active society. The team of the organization consists of professionals from different fields as: sport experts, media specialists, tourism and hospitality, education, marketing and others.

EILD

Greece

EILD (European Institute for Local Development) is an independent non-governmental organization founded in 2009 in Greece with a vision of constant development to find direct solutions to societal problems at national and European level, and to provide innovative tools for the education of regions across EU while promoting experience sharing between its members and partners. EILD works with various organizations that focus on different issues, such as empowering people with physical and mental disabilities, promoting the rights of migrants and women, strengthening, enhancing the digital skills of youngsters, and boosting the job opportunities for minorities etc. EILD believes that sport is a great means for social inclusion, and they use it to promote cultural and social revitalisation among several municipalities. Following a top-down approach method, EILD has created materials that aim to establish a base and give an inspiration for further provisions to professional athletes. In particular, a Handbook of Good Practice in Dual Career and the EU Guidelines on Dual Career of Athletes are just two of the materials that EILD has composed and circulated in public. For this reason, they were chosen as the coordinators of WP3, elaboration of the manual.

INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC HEALTH

Croatia

Teaching Institute of Public Health of Primorsko-Goranska County is a health institution which conducts public health activities in the area of Primorsko-Goranska County. It has a continuous one hundred years of tradition of its existence and work as it is the successor of the State Royal Station for Chemical Tests, established on 8 April 1900. Today it represents an expert, but also teaching preventative public health institution, which is turning into a university scientific regional institute with the goal of providing a higher level of public health care for the wider region, which besides Primorsko-Goranska County includes the neighbouring counties. Teaching Institute of Public Health is managed by the Primorsko-Goranska County and it represents one of the four leading Institutes of Public Health (besides Zagreb, Split and Osijek) in Croatia. It operates independently on the level of the county with the professional coordination by the Croatian Institute of Public Health. The Institute has an integrated quality system.

Public health activities include epidemiological measures of control and intervention, supervision and analysis of infectious and non-infectious diseases, public health microbiological activities, analysis of scientific indicators and work in the health department, control over the health safety of foodstuffs, water and general use objects, continuous air quality monitoring, preventative and specific measures for health protection of school children and students, and primary prevention and out-patient treatment of addiction illnesses.

Teaching Institute of Public Health of Primorsko-Goranska County consists of the following organizational departments: Department of Social Medicine, Health-Environmental Department, Microbiological Department, Epidemiological Department, Department for the Protection of Mental Health, Prevention and Out-Patient Treatment of Addiction Illnesses, Quality Department, Department of School and University Medicine, Department for Economic Affairs, Department for Legal, Human Resources and General Affairs, Department for Controlling and Revision, 7 branch offices – Crikvenica, Delnice, Krk, Opatija, Mali Lošinj, Rab and Cres.

According to the model of similar European institutions, today Teaching Institute of Public Health of Primorsko-Goranska County carries the title teaching, as it represents the centre for preventative public-health education on a scientific and professional level. The education is conducted by the same expert employees, who operatively carry out the preventative activities and handle data for the needs of scientific and professional studies and projects in primary health care or public health.

Teaching Institute of Public Health of the Primorsko-Goranska County participated in 9 projects funded by the European Union. 

KARATE KLUB METALURG

North Macedonia

Karate Klub Metalurg, established in 1969, holds the distinction of being one of the oldest karate clubs in Macedonia. Over the years, we have evolved into a prominent entity within our country’s karate community. Our karate school has provided thousands of young individuals with valuable training, fostering their physical well-being, discipline, and productivity. Notably, several individuals who have trained with us have gone on to establish families of their own, with instances where grandchildren now train in the same club as their grandparents.

Throughout our five-decade journey, Karate Klub Metalurg has consistently produced champions at both national and international levels across various competitive categories, spanning from pioneers to senior competitions in kata and kumite. Presently, our club boasts more than 50 students across different age groups, with three of our competitors ranking among the top 100 in their respective weight categories for seniors according to the World Karate Federation (WKF) rankings.

Our competitors have achieved numerous medal victories in prestigious championships, including those at the national, Balkan, Mediterranean, European, and global levels. Additionally, we have been honored multiple times with the annual recognition for the best karate club of the year bestowed by the Karate Federation of North Macedonia.

SPORT CHAMPIONSHIP SCHOOL "Jastrzębski Wegiel"

Poland

We are a sports school from Poland, operating under the auspices of the men’s volleyball club Jastrzębski Węgiel. Our sports school – The Talent Academy of Jastrzębski Węgiel includes both primary and secondary school.

Jastrzębski Węgiel has been implementing a youth volleyball project under the name The Talent Academy of Jastrzębski Węgiel since the 2012/2013 season.

The program allows the youngest volleyball players to fulfill their dreams, while promoting the functions of education through sport and objectively enforcing the rules of sports competition and fair play.

The Talent Academy of Jastrzębski Węgiel has become one of the best youth training centers in the country. Our players have won multiple medals at regional, national and international tournaments.
